The Kingdom of God is Like… a Fish Farm?
December 6, 2022The Lost Vs. The Unreached. What’s the Difference?
February 13, 2023Unleashing the Gospel in the Souk*
(*Arabic for "The Marketplace" Let us take you for a tour)Across North African cities, you will find winding trails of ancient vendors selling beautiful flowers, fragrant soap, luscious fruit, handwoven rugs, traditional clothing and much, much more. When traveling these cobblestone pathways, my first thought is often "God! You have made such creative people." The colors are incredible and the talent is unmatched from anywhere else in the world I've ever been. The second thought is an overwhelming state of reality.
Most likely, none of the local people I see in these streets follow or have heard the truth of Jesus...they are all considered Unreached People Groups.
Yet, in scripture, we see that God is on a mission to redeem all people groups for His glory and can we take a moment look forward to this day together?
"And they sang a new song, saying: 'You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation."
Revelation 5:9
In recent weeks, an Activate training team in North Africa has walked with a young married couple, Ali & Howda in the starting of a brand new business. And can you believe it...they hand-make clothing together and take it to the local souk (marketplace)! Those same buzzing streets, now one of them with a local believer taking the Gospel to their own people in their own heart language! They are happy that the business is already sustaining them and their goal is to increase their sales by double this year!
As you discover your role in taking the Gospel where it has never been, you are fueling + empowering + sustaining the lives of local believers. Thank you for creating opportunity for Unreached People to hear the Gospel, many for the very first time!
