Our Statement of Faith
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments
…to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
There is only one God, Creator of all things
…infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ
…in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His teaching, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify
…the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict lost men; regenerate and indwell the believing sinner at the point of salvation; guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
That man was created in the image of God
…but fell into sin and is therefore lost; only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. This salvation is received only through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and not as a result of one’s own works.
That the true Church is composed of all
…such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. This unity is to be expressed in our worship, fellowship and ministry.
In the bodily resurrection of the dead:
…of the believer to everlasting life, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
Because God gives man eternal life
…through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in his salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
That while much has been written
…about the “power” or “sign” gifts of the Holy Spirit and many have taken definite sides on the debate, there is room in Scripture for differing views within the confines of Biblical integrity. However, in regards to these gifts, we believe the clear Biblical mandate for unity among believers takes precedence over our individual freedom of expression.
EVERYONE Has a Role to Play
The Great Commission isn’t just for a few. It’s for all of us. Some are called to go. Others are called to give, pray, or send. But each of us has a part to play in reaching the unreached. At Activate, we’re committed to playing ours—with everything we’ve got. Until the Great Commission is fulfilled. Until the Great Imbalance is corrected. Until ALL have heard.
Because Jesus is worth it. And the nations are still waiting.
